Emily Procter

 Emily Mallory Procter (born October 8th 1988,) is an American actress and activist. She was Ainsley Hayes's character on The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002 in 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne was an actor on a CBS police procedural show called CSI: Miami (2002–2012).



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was conceived on October 8th of 1968. William Procter, an obstetrician, adopted her as an infant . She was also adopted by Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. She was raised in Raleigh. She was just three years older when her parents divorced. Whit, her older brother, has also been adopted.



 



 Procter attended Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. Procter was a student at East Carolina University and was a member Alpha Delta Pi. She worked as a anchor on television for WNCT-TV Greenville, North Carolina. Following graduation, she was awarded degrees in journalism and dance.
